Future Horizons, Inc. is a family-owned, Florida Corporation created in 1976. It was originally organized to be a distributor of quality products associated with the aquatic right-of-way and upland transitional environmental market. In June of 1992, Future Horizons, Inc. began to initiate an aquatic services division.

Future Horizons, Inc. is staffed and equipped to provide sales and service of quality, environmentally safe chemicals, sales and service of top of the line Otterbine Barebo and Kasco Aerators and Fountains, environmental consulting, limnological studies, aquatic plant management, aquascaping, marsh restoration, right-of-way maintenance, and fish stocking.

Future Horizons, Inc. Aquatic Plant Management team is fully licensed and insured in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Louisiana, using only E.P.A. approved herbicides.

Aquatic Weed Control
Future Horizons, Inc. is equipped and staffed to perform an aquatic plant management program for government and private agencies, golf courses, homeowner associations, and private individuals. The firm utilizes the latest technology in chemical, biological, and mechanical methods. Methods selected are based on the environmental impact, effectiveness, and costs. Chemicals used have been specifically registered and cleared by the EPA for use in lakes and ponds. Our personnel are trained and licensed in the application of these chemicals throughout the states we work in. We also have trained biologists on staff to assist in overall program development. All procedures utilized have been approved by local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. We provide our customers with a program that will meet their specific requirements.

Aeration and Fountain Systems
Future Horizons, Inc. is an authorized Otterbine and Kasco Distributor. We have won the distinct title of "Distributor of the Year" five times by Otterbine. We are an authorized factory service center and provide on-site and in-shop repairs at all offices. Otterbine and Kasco mechanical aerators effectively treat the causes of poor water quality. Aeration is the key to keeping lakes and ponds free from water quality problems. By introducing oxygen into the water and increasing circulation, aeration will naturally stimulate the waters cleanup process and improve the overall quality of the aquatic environment.  Currently, you are able to purchase smaller aerating fountains online.  If you need something bigger, please call our office or send us an email and one of our associates would be more than happy to assist you.

Right-Of-Way Spraying
Future Horizons, Inc. provides canal and ditch spraying, using chemicals to kill aquatic weeds and grasses before they obstruct the flow of water runoff. These areas must perform at peak efficiency to avoid, or at least minimize, flooding. We also maintain utility easements and fence lines, controlling unwanted vegetation in these areas, as well. It has been found that mechanical control is three to five times more expensive than chemical control due to increased labor charges, disposal of vegetation, and disruption of traffic.

Fish Management
Future Horizons, Inc. will assist in the permitting and stocking of Triploid Grass Carp and Gambusia. Triploid Grass Carp is selective in its feeding habits and consumes large amounts of vegetation. Gambusia provides excellent mosquito control by eating larve before development. We will also perform a site assessment of your area and provide recommendations for stocking rates. We can also advise on stocking and management of game fish in freshwater ponds and lakes.
